BEAUTIFUL REDS // NARS LIP PENCIL

Ever since I started wearing makeup I’ve been nervous to put any colour on my face ranging from eye shadow to blusher to (and in particular) lipstick. This came from a worry of looking too overdone, being too pale and being a little bit daunted by the massive array of colours.

After years of being a ‘nude’ lover I plucked up the courage and gave colour ago with the like Macs ‘Rebel’ and Rimmel’s Kate Moss 107 which are both beautiful but are fairly dark colours which for me are more winter colours.  So, in the midst of my colour phobia I attempted to hunt for something a bit different.

On the off chance I went into Space NK and tested the Nars Matte Lip Pencil in Red Square after hearing so many good things about it. I instantly fell in love with the product and I can safely say it is now my favourite lip product and my favourite colour. It really is quite literally the ‘super-lipstick’; it has amazing staying power, it is a beautiful red/orange colour, a creamy texture and it is extremely easy to apply. What more could a girl want! I’ve got to say it is a confidence booster for when I feel as though I look too dull, I’ll quickly apply and be out the door.

Despite the fact I love this product, with the price tag of £17.50 I will not be buying the whole colour range unless I somehow win the lottery. For me it is definitely a luxury product, but something I would definitely be willing to repurchase.
