MY MAKE UP PET HATES

You know when you see someone wearing makeup and something's not quite right about it..? This is my little (perhaps controversial) rant about what I don't like on peoples faces!

First off I would like to say in no way do I think I am good at makeup or know much is about it, this is just my personal dislikes! So without further ado..

1. HD Eyebrow syndrome
Don't get me wrong I LOVE a defined brow, it just makes your face. But there seems to be an extreme eyebrow love with frankly frightens me a bit.. Here's why:
The craze of thick black eyebrows- If you're blonde, you just don't need it, make it lighter. Infact, no matter what colour your hair is there is no need for opaque eyebrows! You weren't born that way and it looks like you're trying far too hard.
We all want to look like Miss Cara Delevingne with those luscious thick eyebrows, but you don't need to over draw them THAT much!
Finally, they are sisters, not twins. Stop making them identical, you look weird.

2. False Eyelashes-
I'm really not a fan of false eyelashes, never have been, never will be. I think I look fairly odd when I wear them, almost like I'm recreating a Halloween look for nights out. There are 3 reasons I don't like people wearing them which are..
I think false eyelashes should be kept down to a minimum as many a time I've spotted them on the floor and thought they were spiders.
Also, it baffles me when people wear them on a day-to-day basis. How do you look different and more dressed up on a night out when you're pulling out all the stops for day time?
Lastly. The over use of false eyelashes. You know when you see people wearing false eyelashes and they're all manky and gluey? You're making me judge you. They look so heavy on your eyes that it should just be avoided, go out and buy some new ones!

3. Unblended eyeshadow-
This is just a pet hate, I could quite happily stop people in the street and blend out the edges of their eyeshadow. There's nothing worse than seeing someone with a lovely colour and cat eye but they haven't blended it out so it just doesn't looked finished. In my opinion I just think it's looks more tasteful.

4. 'Too friendly with your blusher' girls-
This also lends itself to bronzer. They should be used in moderation, I can't take people seriously when they have a coral coloured circle upon their cheek! Always end up confused as to whether it was a dim-lit room they got ready in or whether they had been for a brisk walk!

5. Overly set makeup-
I've been a victim of this myself when you just look cakey from too my powder, always so disappointing because they would look so much nicer with just a little bit less on!

6. Eyeliner problems-
I know that a lot of people find it difficult to apply liquid or gel eyeliner, but I believe it is something you have to practise in order to get it right. There's always the people who wear incredibly thick eyeliner which just looks a shame due how much of your eye it takes it. The people who can't manage at straight line and the cat flick that looks like a blob at the end of the eye. Such a shame!

7. The face that's too white for the neck-
Plan ahead! If you are prone to getting a tan as soon as the sun comes out, adapt to this change! At least with a lighter neck you can blend yourself to one colour!

8. Wrinkly before your time-
The girls that look lovely, but just wear so much make up particularly on the forehead, around the eyes and the mouth that they manage to age themselves by 10 years!

9. Eyeshadow hatred-
There are certain colours I believe shouldn't be put on your eyes. Red and pink- because you look like you've been crying or you gave pink eye, neither which are desirable. Blue- a nineties flash back for me, remember when all the cool pop stars of that era wore light blue? Green- just yuck. I wish someone could convince me that these colours could look ok on, however from my experience it's not something I would go for.

10. Mascara transfer-
I am definitely a victim of this little monster! I HATE how even if I'm wearing waterproof mascara I always seem to end up with dots around my eyes as if I'm dressing up for some kind of scifi convention. Genuinely the most annoying thing that could happen throughout your day made even worse by the people who are just to nervous to tell you it's happened.. If anyone has some great idea about how to keep my mascara on my eyelashes it would be deeply appreciated!

So this was just a little taster! I hope it's not upset anyone too much...
