I’m worried… Has anyone else realised that Clinque have
stopped/stopping making the Take The Day Off Balm? Here’s how I found out..
First off, you’re probably sitting there thinking, why are
you bothered. I absolutely adore this product. I’m so lazy with makeup removal
and previously I was using make up wipes, then eye makeup remover and then
cleansing.. such a toil, but ever since I bought my Clinque ‘Take The Day Off’
Balm I’ve enjoyed. It feels lovely on your skin and just gets rid of
everything, it really is a wonder product. Also at the price of £21 per pot and
as I’m only half way through and have been using it for 3 months, I consider it
the cheaper option for makeup removal.
Anyway, back to the story. My Mum wanted to know what this
product was like so she gave it a go and loved it. She then insisted that I
went to buy it for her. I went to every shop in Newcastle- John Lewis,
Fenwicks, Boots, Debenhams- nothing. I heard the same story from every counter ‘We
are out of stock, we are having issues getting it, we aren’t sure when it’s going
to be in next.’
At this point, I am beginning to panic and the Clinique
assistant from Debenhams said that they had removed the ‘Take The Day Off’
place and pricing for it on the shelves thinking it may be discontinued. She also said that about a year ago they did
the same thing with their bestselling foundation as they simply couldn’t get
the ingredients to make the product therefore having to end the product line.
Now what would this story be without a happy ending? I
managed to get my hands on two new tubs (Thank God) However, I don’t know where
I’m going to get it from once it’s ran out again! I will truly be distraught if
this does turn out to be true. Does anyone know of a similar product?
