REN SKINCARE MINIATURES REVIEW

After being a long sufferer of oily/combination skin I spotted the REN ‘Kit for Combination Skin’ on ASOS which comprised of the Invisible Pore Detox Mask, the T-Zone Balancing Day Fluid and Mayblossom T-Zone Control. Obviously I had the worry of falling in love with these three little miniatures which could plummet me into debt, but I did it anyway.. Dear me.

First off- The Invisible Pore Detox Mask is meant to be a ‘detoxifying clay mask designed to reduce the appearance of pore size and leave the skin purified smoothed and toned.’ Clay masks are my favourite for my skin type and this one definitely makes my skin feel refreshed and clearer, however I didn’t notice anything much on pore size.. But it is still a lovely product.

Next-  The Mayblossom T-Zone Control Cleansing Gel. I’m not really mad on it as a single product, it is very watery and when used by itself it doesn’t make my skin feel clean. This was a massive disappointment to me as I was really looking forward to this thinking it would have been my new skin must have!

And finally- The T-Zone Balancing Day Fluid, which is probably my favourite out of the three products as I genuinely feel it has made the most difference to my skin throughout the day. It isn’t as shiny, feels much smoother and is an excellent addition to keeping my makeup on for longer.  Unfortunately, it has a subtle lavender scent which I am not mad about and a light creamy consistency which is lovely for a pre-moisturising treatment.

I honestly feel with the combination of the Cleansing Gel and the Balancing Fluid, my skin was just so much better oil-wise. I was having a lot more clearer skin days which was fantastic!

Overall the combination of these Ren products are great and do give you clearer and more calmed skin. However, for the full sized products it would cost £60+ to have these and at the rate I go through skin care products, it would be an expensive venture. I would recommend them to people who do have the money to spend on them, but for the moment I’ll stick to my combination of Clinique and Super Facialist..

  1. Shame they're so expensive, they sound so promising!
